Manage Orders

When a buyer places an order, here's how to handle it — from confirmation to delivery.

Order lifecycle

Receive order notification
Review order details
Accept or decline the order
Ship the product
Track delivery status
Handle returns if needed

Confirmed

Delivered

Orders can also be Declined or Cancelled.

You Receive an Order

When a buyer places an order, it appears in your Dashboard → Orders section with a "Pending" status. You'll also receive an email notification.

Tip

Check your orders dashboard regularly. Responding quickly builds buyer trust and leads to better reviews.

Review the Order

Click on the order to see the full details:

Accept or Decline

You can accept the order to start processing, or decline it if you can't fulfill it.

Accept

Order moves to "Confirmed". Prepare it for shipping.

Decline

Buyer is notified and refunded automatically.

Important

Only decline if absolutely necessary (out of stock, can't ship to that location). Frequent declines may affect your store's visibility.

Ship the Order

Once the order is confirmed, pack the product and ship it. Update the order with the shipping details:

Courier partner — who's delivering the package
Tracking number — so the buyer can track their order

Tip

Add a tracking number when possible. Buyers feel more confident when they can track their package.

Order Delivered

Once the buyer receives the product, the order is marked as Delivered. The buyer may leave a review — great reviews help your store grow!

Order complete!

The payment is already in your account.

Handling Returns

By default, Chiblu has a 24-hour return policy from the time of delivery. If a buyer requests a return within this window, you'll be notified in your orders dashboard.

Good to know

You can set a custom return policy for your store from Settings → Store Settings. Clear return policies help build buyer confidence.
