About the role

We're growing fast, and the biggest lever right now is reaching more makers. Today, that work is done directly by the founder. We're looking for a sharp, ambitious BD intern to take ownership of the seller acquisition pipeline — finding makers, reaching out, walking them through onboarding, and turning interest into live stores.

This is a hands-on role with direct founder access, real ownership of metrics, and a clear path to a full-time growth role at the end of the internship. If you've got hustle, communicate well in English, and want to learn how a marketplace gets built — read on.

What you'll do

  • Source potential sellers from Instagram, design markets, craft fairs, design school networks, and regional communities
  • Run cold outreach via DMs, calls, and WhatsApp — explain Chiblu, handle objections, book demos
  • Walk new sellers through onboarding (registration, KYC, first product listing) — close the loop from "interested" to "live store"
  • Track conversion at every funnel step (sourced → contacted → demo → signed up → KYC done → live)
  • Share weekly findings with the founder — what's working, what's not, what makers are asking for
  • Help shape Chiblu's seller-side messaging, pitch deck, and onboarding materials based on what you learn

Must have

  • Excellent verbal communication in English — you'll be on calls and WhatsApp constantly
  • Strong written communication — DMs and emails that get replies, not ignored
  • Hunger for closing — you measure your day by sellers signed up, not hours worked
  • Ownership mindset — you can figure things out without hand-holding; you don't wait to be told what to do

Nice to have

  • Past sales/BD experience — college club, internship, or any role where you closed deals
  • Comfort with cold outreach (you've cold-DM'd people before and didn't die)
  • Familiarity with Indian craft / D2C / maker ecosystem
  • An Instagram or LinkedIn following you've built yourself (any niche)
